The Homeland Security and Resilience (HSR) conference series focuses on identifying threats, risks and weaknesses in the Czech security system with the aim of minimising them.
The essence is to share information and coordinate activities of all levels of government, private and non-profit sectors to strengthen the security and resilience of our entire society to hybrid and conventional threats.
The inaugural conference will be held on 29 May 2023 at the Chamber of Deputies, Parliament of the Czech Republic.
The conference is organized in cooperation with and under the auspices of the Chairman of the Security Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, Parliament of the Czech Republic, Dr. Pavel Žáček, Ph.D.
The first conference in the series Homeland Security and Resilience (ISR) aims to draw attention to the issue, to bring elements of the Czech security system together and to name priority areas for resolution. The conclusions of the introductory conference will be used as a basis for the plan and content of the follow-up episodes.
At the same time, perspectives on future needs may be presented in view of expected changes in the security situation (migration, climate change and related security threats, lessons learned from the current situation in Ukraine, threats related to the end of the war in Ukraine, terrorism, cyber threats, protection of soft targets, anti-state propaganda, etc.).
Each of the components of the Czech security system is expected to present its own perspective on current needs and future threats, taking into account its competence and experience. At the same time, it is expected that common themes will emerge, such as security system integration or a strategic (long-term) approach to financing and development.
